Recognise and Remove leaflet for Concussion Injury
Dear Parent/Carer,

Netball Girls support South African Charity
Congratulations to the Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Netball teams who raised £364 for a group of South African teenagers from Georgetown who are on tour in Ireland playing the game they love - “Netball”.
The teenagers are supported through charity work to give them a sporting opportunity to train hard and compete with teams from other countries. Our Year 9 and 10 teams played games against the South African team at the Bishops Field Sports Hall on Monday, 26th September, where they saw the South Africans display excellent Netball and Bring a little bit of their culture to them through traditional African dance.
Year 8 LLW Your School, Your Business
Year 8 pupils attended a LLW Day on Friday 16th September called “Your School, Your Business”. The workshops was delivered by Youth Enterprise Northern Ireland. Over the course of the day pupils were able to explore the school and the business of learning. They worked together to assess their skills and talents and finished the day with the delivery of presentations of new initiatives that they could introduce into the school.

Amazing the Space Event takes place on the United Nations World Peace Day
Lumen Christi College travelled with Lisneal College to the Eikon Centre, Maze Long Kesh, for the Amazing the Space Event. Sculptor Maurice Harron’s Peace Pledge Tree was the focal point of the event. This show cased the Peace Pledges written by over 400 schools from the nine counties of Ulster. James Nangle and Katie Sweeney were part of the steering committee and helped present the event on the day.
