Students present cheque to Jamie Journie
Over this academic year, Year 14 Business Studies class have worked on two projects as part of their GCE. These projects allowed them to create and develop a business. They sold candy canes and chocolate Santas at Christmas time as part of the A2 coursework. Before Easter, the class held a raffle within the school for students and teachers to win donated prizes. The profits made from these projects were then donated to Jamie’s Journie, a charity very close to our school. The total amount raised by the department, with the help of the entire school, was £764. Jamie’s Journie is a charity that helps children and young people who are going through cancer. This money will help the charity to continue their work within the community and provide much needed support to all those who have been affected by cancer. We are delighted to be donating the money raised by the Business Studies Department to such a worthy cause.
