Spring Concert
Our Music Department staff and students are still enjoying a sense of achievement and community spirit in the wake of the very successful "Spring Concert" on Thursday 3rd April. This was a particularly special year for the orchestra, having had the opportunity to host six professional players from the Ulster Orchestra in a pre-concert workshop. The players then stayed and performed alongside the students for the evening's performance.
We had beautiful solos from Matthew Sammon on Saxophone and Cathal Coyle on Trombone, with special guest appearances by Micheal Gallagher and Callum Canavan on percussion. We had outstanding solo performances by the Year 14 Music Class, as well as beautiful music by the Senior String Ensemble, Junior Choir, Jazz Band and the renowned Senior Choir. Congratulations to all who participated; a job well done and we are very proud of you!
